Has anyone used the activity or audio data from eHive to detect the absence of a queen prior to opening the hive?

Yes, I have tried it in practice. I had one hive where I noticed reduced activity in the eHive readings and the sound it recorded was more monotonous and “restless” than the others. The system was alerting me to a possible queen loss. I went on site and when I opened it, indeed the queen was lost. If I hadn't seen it from the data, I would have realized it later and probably would have lost the colony.
